Shopping and eating at Lahaina Cannery Mall with Pēpē

The Lahaina Cannery Mall has had a makeover & Pepe has investigated to see what new offerings this west Maui mall brings to Lahaina.

Due to Covid-19 the FREE weekly cultures events were cancelled but now THEY ARE BACK! Every week there are FREE shows, lessons & crafts that offer the best of Maui and local Hawaiian culture to be enjoyed for all your Ohana. The following events are:

  • HULA SHOW - Every Sunday 1pm

  • HULA LESSONS (all ages) - Every Sunday 2:30pm

  • CULTURE CRAFTS - Every Wed-Thurs 2:30pm

  • LAHAINA ART SHOW - Fri-Sat 9am-4pm

In addition to the cultural events, you can experience Old Lahaina through the new Plantation Museum located inside the mall. Take yourself on a free self guided tour to explore historic artifacts & to learn about Maui’s rich culture. Donations are welcomed for support of the Lahaina Restoration Foundation.

If you haven’t noticed yet there are TWO new dining options in Lahaina, both located at the Lahaina Cannery Mall. Jersey Mikes is now open daily serving its freshly sliced subs and sandwiches to west Maui. The wait is over and Denny’s is finally back on Maui offering indoor and outdoor dining and an all day brunch menu. Open from 6am - 10pm the new dining location at the Lahaina Cannery Mall will be serving up Denny’s classic like ‘moons over my hammy’ (my favorite) along with some local Hawaiian favorites.

You can also get all your grocery shopping done here at Safeway, pop into Long’s Drugstore & checkout the local shops inside the mall, including an ABC store.

We are all excited for the future of Lahaina Cannery Mall and what it brings to West of Maui.

They are busy renovating the food court & I will happily report back once it is complete.

Many Mahalo’s,

Pēpē
